2 CONGRESS Heirs of Henry Van Dyke -- Unpaid Prize Money

Washington: GPO, 27th Congress, 2nd Session, House Document No. 196, April 20, 1842. Twelve pieces of correspondence pertaining to prize money allegedly owed to the heirs of Henry Van Dyke, deceased, a lieutenant on board the USS Constellation in 1799 when she captured and, May 19, brought into Hampton Roads the French frigate L'Insurgente and two schooners. Unbound, original pages, nicely preserved with no tears or foxing and only minor wrinkling at gutter edges.
