1 Low, Albert P. Cruise of the Neptune, The

Ottawa: Government Printing Office 1906. Low presents a report of the Dominion Government Expedition to Hudson Bay and the Arctic Islands, 1903-4, aboard the steamship D.G.S. Neptune, 1Capt. S. W. Bartlett. The report details the places visited and activities undertaken, including reports on ethnology, geology, and navigation issues. No dust jacket, 8vo in original brown cloth, titles and ship design in bright gilt on front board, 63 plates, 30x40-inch folded map in rear pocket (NE Canada and track of the Neptune), lower front corner bumped, minor denting in top and bottom edges of rear board, both boards remarkably bright and clean, both hinges starting but still intact, owner's name on front endpaper, contents clean and tight with no marks or foxing, quite a nice copy given its age of this fine account of NE Canada at the turn of the 20th century.
