11 Goode, George B. Fisheries and Fishery Industries of the U.S., Section V

Washington: GPO, U.S. Commission of Fish and Fisheries, 1887. A massive and historic report, submitted to the U.S. National Museum (Smithsonian) during the 1880s, consisting of five sections. Sections I-IV were submitted earlier; Section V (History and Methods of the Fisheries), presented in 1884, consists of two volumes of text and an atlas with two hundred and fifty-five PLATES. This is the volume of plates. Original three-quarter bound in green cloth and leather with titles gilt-stamped on spine, marbled endpapers, some rubbing on corners and edges of spine, gilt fine, edges marbled edges, overall Very Good, despite age.
